If Facebook & Google Were Superheroes

What if we took a moment and turned everything upside down. Let's pretend for a second that the Internet was a movie consisting of a lot of superheroes. Yeah, that's apparently a good way to look at the competition of these popular brands.

This infographic called The Internet Justice League was put together by College Humor, and it serves up an epic punch that will make you take in some knowledgeable information in the simplest of ways. I guess it’s to no one’s surprise that Google ended up being an incarnation of Superman, but you will have to look below to find out who the other ones are.

Internet Fandom Statistic

Twilight has fans more than population of Malaysia? I don't want to live on this planet anymore. Sigh...

If you wonder what is fandom - Fandom is the community that surrounds a tv show/movie/book etc. Fanfiction writers, artists, poets, and cosplayers are all members of that fandom. Fandoms often consist of message boards, livejournal communities, and people. Example - The Harry Potter fandom has some of the most diverse fans, from eight year olds to thirty somethings.

Evolution Of Police Riot Gear

Just as the styles of protest have changed from one generation to the next, so have the styles of protest policing. Technological advances, training innovations and changing attitudes toward the right to assemble have all shaped the way the police handle the challenges of large demonstrations.

During the 1960s and '70s, police officers treated many protests as a threat to the social order and responded with brute force. In the 1980s and '90s, demonstrations tended to be less confrontational and the police responded with more accommodating tactics.

Following the Battle in Seattle protests against the World Trade Organization in 1999, a more restrictive, preemptive and aggressive form of protest policing emerged at the 2003 protests in Miami over the Free Trade Area of the Americas. The current Occupy demonstrations have adopted a defiant and disruptive style of protest that has pushed the boundaries of the First Amendment, but the response has been mixed.

But, I do believe this statistic, as it done in United State may translate to the fact that most blogs reader is office workers. In Malaysia, it might be different. Maybe I need find the user of internet in Malaysia by age segregation.

Please be consider that this data is based on United State Eastern Time. But I think the data is still valuable as long you adjust it with your country timing requirement.
